Big Seahorse Tank???

Anyone out there have a big seahorse tank??

Had a crazy thought of converting my 210 in-wall full reef into a nice docile seahorse and pipe fish tank...hmmm

Anyone out there actually have a large sea horse tank? Say over 100 gallons?

Hi,
I have 170 Gal + 40 Gal refugium reef seahorse tank. I like my seahorses however..... they really dont do very much. Mostly hang on to various "stuff" . If I had it to do all over (and I may) I would put up a smaller horse tank and put a pair of crosshatch triggers and an eel in my tank

Wow! Jose, those are some GORGEOUS seahorses and pipes. The red colored horse is amazing. And I love the natural look of your tank with all those macros. Could I see a full tank shot?

Wow 2000 ghost shrimp. Do you have an online source or were you making your LFS rich?

Hello Pokehero93. Welcome to the board. I would suggest posting your question in the reef section or the new to the hobby section. I think you will get more responses. I have never had a reef, but the basics include getting a skimmer, live rock and strong lighting. There is way more to it than that, but at least now you know what to ask about.

the guy who collects them from the ocean and sells them to the local LFS, lives close by, so I get it directly from him, and since I get them every week, I get a better rate that the LFS

I currently have a 125 in wall aquarium with 11 seahorses... a big tank is the way to go.. better water quality and mine hardly ever hide, they love our gorgonians and leathers.
