BigBarnacles big build thread.

My jawfish will duck into his burrow every time the 'lightning' hits, but the other fish don't seem to care.

Looking good Bro!! Can't wait for it to grow out.

THANKS! I need to get a camera that can capture the tank in all it's glory. These phone cameras just can't quite do it. I'm seeing definite growth from my first zoa colony. A few of the acan colonies have some babies I'm watching for growth. My test sps, an orange/purple digitada I received courtesy of ykh, appears to be getting thicker and extending a bit more. It's a waiting game right now. Everything, including the RBTA courtesy of ayckorea, seems happy. The true perc clowns are eating well and acting like goofballs in typical clown fashion. All of my water parameters have been good and stable.

Busy day in the reef. Added an incredible hulk acan colony, branching alveopora colony, 2 peppermint shrimp, a diamond goby and a beautiful dragonet. Will post pics as soon as I get them acclimated to water and lighting.

Just a few pics of the new fish...

All is well in the reef so far! Moved a few acans to the lower rockwork since the diamond goby likes to dig and sift sand around the acans. Adding something new to the reef tomorrow...

I'll get a few pics of the new sps additions as well as my second clam, an ultra maxima.

Your rock work looks awesome.

Thank you! My wife designed it. The "bridge" rock between the two pukani islands is expoxied with JB Waterweld. And if you look close at the right pukina rock you'll see the entrance to a cave that goes through to the other side of the rock (can't see the exit in this pic). I chiseled it out by hand.

Well, it's been about five months since my now young reef was just finishing cycling. It's had it's ups and downs as most young reefs do. I've lost a zoa colony, a few acans, an alveopora, open brain and a symphyllia. But I've also experienced great SPS growth, explosive zoa growth, a very happy RBTA, and healthy torch, hammer, and frogspawn (as well as a few other non mentioned corals). I've learned from my mistakes and haven't lost a coral in months. My aquatic life (fish) are all doing great. I just added a Kole Tang Sunday...as well as a little Blenny. Everything is starting to take shape and I still have a lot of open space in the aquarium. Here's a few pics.
