Hello everyone, what a great community you all have here so many knowledgeable ppl, it's great to be apart of now. I am starting my first reef tank with a oceanic/biocube 14. My first question is what pump do I upgrade the stock one too? I read some old post but not sure if there are better pumps/options as of today. Thanks!

Had a BioCube years back and I'm pretty sure I replaced it with a MaxiJet 900 and added an extra power head in the tank.
Currently running a 12g NanoCube which is similar to the BioCube and I'm running a MaxiJet 900 as a return and Koralia Nano 240 in the display.

No problem.

You can also dig around the Nano Reefs Forum Section to see if you can build threads there.

Here's the Bio Cube Owner's Thread you can also check out for ideas.

It looks like a lot of people are doing the 28g BioCube and 24g NanoCube as opposed to the smaller tanks these days so the Search button will also be your friend.

Imo if the mj1200 will fit in the chamber , i would go with that and with the koria rotating flow attachment, this might be good flow without adding anymore powerhead in the dt area. I have the rotating flow attachmnet on my 6g and 29g biocube. I like it becuae it doesnt take up your dt area space and works good in moving the water around the tank.
