BioCube 29 vs Solana 34?

Looking into getting a 2nd tank...still not sure if I want to use the cube for a species specific tank (dwarf lionfish) or if I want to move my clowns to the cube and get a pair of dwarf lionfish for my currently set up 55. I am looking at the BioCube and the Solana. The Solana is quite a bit more, but appears to come with the protein skimmer. This would need to be purchased separately for the biocube. I do like the closed top of the biocube vs the open top of the Solana though. Opinions on the two setups would be appreciated....pros and cons of both.

solano is so much nicer. and with an open top, the lighting option is unlimited since u probably wont need a chiller even with mh.

biocube hqi 29 gallon is wayyy cheaper, but probably needs chiller, esp if you want a sps. search on internet, there are deals for $375 right now. you can get a jbj chiller for it for ~330 bucks, so around $700 plus shipping

solana looks nice and would cost $850 + shipping

for me anyways, price can be a determining factor

... neither one. the price for round corners is a soft glass that is gone get millions of scratches in no time.

cheers,
MaLi
