i have a 36 bowfront reef tank and wanted to know if there was any way to increase my biological filtration. i want a few more fish ( i have a clown and three chromis right now)...i wanted a flame hawk..midas blenny..and sixline...is this pushing what my tank can handle
most of my rock is base rock but i do have a few pieces of live rock. and im planning on getting an octopus skimmer because i heard they are top notch skimmers. but no algae growing
Welcome to RC! Do you have a sump currently? If you do you could use Macro Algae, Chaeto and Caulerpa would work for nutrient export, and a skimmer would be very helpful. I would recommend the MSX skimmers you can find them at:
i dont have a sump..i want one but i dont have my tank on a stand to put it under...so i need a hang on skimmer of some sort...the octopus 100f or 300f i heard was the best hob skimmer...could i grow algae in the filter area of this skimmer so it gives me nutrient export plus the skimming all in one?
