Bird of Paradise - Flow

I recently moved my rock around and my bird of paradise ended up a lot closer and more directly in the flow pattern of my MP40. I cranked down the % at which the MP 40 is operating. Do BofP's generally like high flow? How can I tell when it is stressed, if not? It still is extending for the most part.

Mine have never done well in front of direct flow, always blew the flesh off of the tips which was replaced by algae.

Mine for sure like movement but not to get relentlessly blasted.

Mine are not in direct flow either. Lower light and Flow for me.
