Birdsnest Question

I have a birdsnest the has seemed to have been dying in the back part. Algae is starting to cover the dead piece. Is it okay to cut the dead piece off? Or no? Leave it?

Agreed. Failure to do so has resulted for me in green hair algae build up that eventually killed more of the healthy coral.

They are pretty easy to work with. I've accidentally broken pieces off on mine before, glue them somewhere else and now there is two. They recover easily to pieces being broken off
