birdsnest ?

Birdsnest fell on top of my clam, now some of the branches are turning white. Can a clam sting? Is there anything I can do to stop this ?

It is probably just form the crashing damage. I don't belive any of the tridacna clams can sting. The bleaching from injuries shouldn't spread and will eventually recover. However, if the bleaching ocntinues and spreads then the falling probably isn't the cause.

I would frag off the white peices just to be safe

Same thing happened to me few days ago and couple branches turned white, so I went ahead and clip those branches. Will these branches grow eventhough they have no polyps on them?
