BK Mini160 Suction/Gurgle Noise Issue.

Hi guys ...

Just have a problem with my BK Mini160 where it has begun to make a rather noticeable (loud) water suction/gurgle noise, where as it was silent before.

I have cleaned the skimmer, pump, silencer and volute and they are all spotless.

My question is ... operation wise, what would induce the suction/gurgle noise if it was once silent. I thought I would put the question out there in the hope some one with a good working knowledge of skimmers in general may know

I assume it may be a case of the skimmer pulling more air ? But, I don't see how it is possible as nothing has changed

Another BK Mini160 user very kindly tested my volute on their skimmer and it was silent ... which make me think it's a possible pump or impellor issue, although I have no idea.

Any clues or opinions welcome

check impeller for scars and the rear spacer. Mine got loud after i cleaned it the first time w/o vinegar and i cleaned it and gave it a full vinegar bath. Much better now. make sure the air pipe and tube are clean

same problem but with my bubble magnus, it almost seems to suck more air in too.the only solution for me was to do a deap clean which is a pain with my setup
