Well, I forgot how to make somthing black and white, or rather I got a new editing program and dont know how to do it..

I have photoshop CS now, and I want to make somthing black and white, pure black, pure white.. like this

I think I did that on the photo software that comes with a microsoft 2000 or somthing?

(sorry for spelling mistake, just got back from track, a bit jumpy/hot still :p)

Photoshop also has a option to remove color which produces some real sweet black&white photos....but isn't that pretty much the same as printing a color photo greyscale?

Off the top of my head, you change the color mode to "index color" then say you just want 2 colors, i.e. B+W.

Can check for you, but I don't have PS at work.

Try this in Photoshop:

Select Image and then Adjustments and then Channel Mixer and then select the monochrome box.

You can then play with the levels adjustment to fine tune the photo.

Mike, that still gives you a monochrome image in greyscale. He wants in in B+W, meaning just 2 colors (not that either is a color though).

The channel mixer is the way to go. If you look at the photo that he is refering to it is a greyscale picture.

Create a new lyer over the picture. Go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Hue/Saturation > click ok. Then Move the Hue and Saturation levels all the way to the left. Now your picture is black and white.
