I have a yellow tang that i brought home 3 weeks ago and from the start it had black spots all over. i have given it 3 fresh water dips for 2.5 min. every time it gets dipped the spots dissapear but they come back. should i keep on dipping until the spots don't come back or is this too hard on the fish. should i keep it in the water for longer at a time say for three min. None of the other fish have it yet so that is a good thing. please help!!!!!!:(

Dipping is not the best method as the black ick can reproduce in your fish tank. So even after you have killed all of the ick on you tang, most of the parasite will still be in your tank.
In order for me to help you treat the tang, I need to know if you have a fish only tank or a fish with liverock/invertabrates tank.

Since you have invertabrates in your tank, you cannot use any non-organic ich treatment medicines. As a result, you will have buy Ich Attack, made by Aqua Herbals. Ich Attack is an organic treatment that you put in the water. It does not harm any of your invertabrates.
