Black lights at night?

Whats up how would putting a black light on at night in my FOWLR tank affect things? Just curious thought it may look really neat, but, I dont know if it would cause problems.

I think you have to have a filter or something to block out the bad rays (because i think they put out some sort of harmful light ray...might be wrong) but i'd just get moonlights if it were me. You could probably even find purple LED's.

this has been debated both ways, I figure as long as you cycle the thing it should not be too bad. I have seen 420nm cold cathodes run all night and they produce a pretty good amount of light.
