Anyone know the rarity of this pair? Would love to pick a pair of these up in February when my tank gets established.

Not too rare but they are expensive, I bought my pair from divers den 4 months ago. I say go for it, you will enjoy them

Tank won't be up and running til early February. I have a QT tank that is occupying my time right now before my tank and stand get in so I was foolishly considering getting them due to my impatience. Should get the tank around Christmas. Probably will need 5 weeks break in time after set up to insert $300.00 for 2 fish. Definaly don't want to stress out these bad boys. I would hate to kill my favorite fish in the world.

Oh, ocellaris123, yours look great! Right off the reef with the BTAs. I see that the markings on yours are almost identical which is one of hte reasons I like them so much.

Just curious though. I don't know much about clownfish pairings but every time I see the black snowflake pairs, they look almost identical. Is it because they come from the same brood or do they find each other by concidense?

Mine are almost identical.. Except my male is nearly all back and white. The female has orange face like the one you posted.

Thanks, just cant wait until the black fills in on their nose. No clue if they were from the same brood but that wouldn't surprise me if they were considering they are both from ORA. The reason I jumped on this pair was because they were free from the obvious deformities you see so often with clowns (bull dog face, crooked jaws, pinched heads). When you get yours keep an eye out for these deformities and post pics

Oh...there will definitely be pictures if i pick up a pair of these. Thank you for the heads up and I will do my homework on deformities.

Reelfishy, so jealous of you all with these snowflake pairs. Someday I hope to be like you two.

Yeah, I've been looking for a pair for the longest time.. My pair were "thrown in" when I bought my Maxspect Razor LED from the LFS.

Just taken a few minutes ago. Nearly all black and white male. The females orange stayed the same.. Not getting any darker.

I can never get a good photo of them.. The female is more blunt and wont shy away when I have my face or camera all smeared on the tank. The male on the other hand won't come close enough.

Black snowflakes arent that expensive. I guess depends how bonded/mated the pair but just for 2 not much as far as clowns go.
