Black spots on my Clown fish?

My clown fish have this black spots on them that look like Liver spots.
They are the only fish that have them.
Any ideas?

I've also seen this happen before with Zoos, and also Frongspawns, Torchs, and a few other corals. Things that clowns don't host in nature can give them the spots.

probably, TimV has the same spots on his clowns. I dont think the clowns are ill or anything.

I have three Ocellaris clowns that have developed these small black spots over the last few months. They appear harmless and they are in a fowlr tank, fish are as healthy as can be and always have been--never hosted in anything for over 2 years. Strange---maybe just clown freckles

I read somewhere that they are from being away from the anemone, or in this case, the frogspawn for too long, and they have to reacclimate (i guess thats the word) themselves to it, and the anemone/coral stings them.

I have a pair of oscillaris clowns that developed the spots several years ago. It makes them a tad ugly but they are very healthy. I've always chalked it up to them hosting in my zooanthids.

I can't provide any valid hypothesis considering my tank. They are in a 44 FOWLR, three ocellaris, one queen angel (growing fast and probably needs a bigger tank soon--anyone have an extra 200G) a yellow tank, a royal gramma, three cardinal fish and a scooter blenny along with multiple inverts. 2 years without anemones, zooanthids etc.....
