Black spots on my yellow tang

Hi, I'm new to the saltwater tank world. I have a blue and a yellow tang with ich. I don't want to add copper to cure the ich any suggestions.

You can always do hypo put the fish in a qt tank and lower the salinity to 1.009 and keep it there a few weeks.

I'm going to jump in here also for the ride, but I've heard that you don't need to go that low 1.011 might be good or not even that low.....just what I've read would like to confirm this...

Om@r, [welcome]

Black spots is not actually crypto, it's an infestation of Tubellarian worms, but the treatment options are the same. You may have crypto (ich) as well though.

I read that you can do a freshwater dip to cure the ich. Also to feed the fish garlic or dip the food in garlic oil. I did read about getting a quarantine tank and cure the ich with copper in a seperate tank, but trapping the fish might even stress out the fish even more and like any new guy I don't wan't to lose any fish. The tangs are eating fine but constantly rubbing against the rocks. What do you guys think.
