Where can I find one of these?? How much should I expect to pay??

They are not common in the trade and are only brought in from one location so this aids in setting the 'market' price.

I would expect anywhere from $400-1000 depending on the source and size of the fish. Hardest size to get is the medium (3-4"), small 1-2" size and dinner plate larges are the most common sizes.

My LFS has had two in stock over the last month - both about 9" - aka dinner plate. They are cool fish, no doubt about that, but I would rather leave them to the ocean if they are that difficult to find and catch.

you should be able to find them somewhere around 600.00 they realy don't get more expensive as they get bigger. sometimes it's harder and more expensive to get them smaller.
