hey i was wondering if anyone had some black zoas. I have only seen them once and it was a couple months ago when i drove up to under the sea in Bristal TN. They were truely black and i am still kicking my self for not getting them. If you have some please post pictures. Ben

I have blacks with white centers. I will try to get a pic up after work.. their kinda cool--- look like a moon...

Hey minimatt, those are very nice. They look like they are in a frag tank of some sort. Are the frilly polyps in a subclass of their own, if you know, because I have a pretty large colony of zoanthids that look similar only orange. The guy at the LFS called them "frilly polyps."

the length of skirt is dependent on flow of the tank (IME). I would not consider them a subclass, but jreimer could answer that better im sure..
Yes these are in my frag tank..

I've had some (might even still have some) that were pure black with orange/purple stars in the center...so there are black ones out there..

when i think "black", i think like black plastic, or black acrylic black, or BLACK paint.

not african american black (which is really brown).

No, these were midnight black...I only had a few on a rock with lots of other colors...I think they came in from Figi...they were incredible.
