bleached clam

I've had a crocea for probably close to a year. Part of it had gotten shaded by a candy cane. We recently moved the candy cane and found that the mantle of the clam was bleached. It has been at least a week and it hasn't gotten better. Does this sound normal?

If you've had it a year, it already adapted to the shade area. It will color up soon as long as your lights are good. Clams are tough as nails if you supply there needs.

could go either way ive experienced sudden clam death for no cause that i can see, feedings, nutrients, and chemistry had not changed with clams that had been growing strong just bit the dust. keep stuff from picking on it and keep chemistry good to help it back
