Bleached spot on fish? and another one...

I have two fish with two issues. One I think it just a scratch, but the other is not something I've seen before. I haven't tested the water recently, but plan to do so sometime today.

Here is my blenny, with a spot on his face that just looks beached. You can even see the pattern of his skin through it. I just now noticed it and haven't had a chance to really watch his behavior, but he seemed normal last night. He's been in the tank for about 2.5 months with no issues. Any ideas?

Here is my firefish, which was added 5 days ago. It looks like he just had a scratch on his side, but since it is along the area of his lateral line, I thought I'd post it just in case someone thinks otherwise. It's hard to see, but here's the pic. I don't see any other red flags on him, and he's acting normal, swimming in the flow of the return looking for pods.

That seems to happen sometimes, but I can see them. If RC has you signed out, you won't see them, so that could be an issue.

But I may have jumped the gun on my blenny. It might have just been a strange, brief variation in his coloring, because the spot is almost gone now! I wonder if maybe he was stung by something or pinched by a crab (he harasses one regularly).

I would still like any thoughts on the firefish, though. Hopefully they're just scratches and he'll heal up quickly on his own.
