Bleached Zoa's

I bought this from a guy who said it was just bleached from his new light. He sold it to me as a Mind Blowing Paly. I didn't pay a ton for it, so I am not just too concerned about it, but afraid I kind of got taken for a ride being a newbie...

Any input would be appreciated.

Don't know if I can get my money back. I bough it as.part of a package....and the dude lives like an hour away. Has anybody ever had any oftheir zoa's/palys look like this? Is there a chance they can recover?

I would say the chances are very, very small.
That's the best way I can put here.
They are basically goners, sorry. Specially because they are so small and only 3 polyps.
If you want to try just leave them alone for many months and see what happens.
They look very weak and far damaged by the bleaching.
Keep them out of direct light for now.
If they survive the hit they probably never will have the original colors.
Good luck!

I've had zoas come back from the brink like that, but note- it's a very very slow process with a toss up whether they will survive or just flounder. However, if you know their before color don't expect that to come back- they come back in a month more muted tone or color if at all.

same thing happened to me twice. for some reason the mindblowing paly need a long time to acclimate to dif lighting. i kept them in low-medium light and the color came back in 3 months.

The worse bleaching I've had here I almost lost many of my old colonies due to severe and sudden overheat (weather change + no chiller). The zoas never recovered their normal colors and they took 6+ months to begin showing any signs of recovery. They were colonies of 20+ polyps. Very sad!
