I'm looking to add a pair of two spot bimaculatus blenny (Ecsenius bimaculatus) to my 60g cube. Would they totally revenge all my macro algae? Thanks guys :bum:

Doesn't seem like it. I have a tail spot blenny who picks at macro algae for pods, I've never seen it actively eat macros.

So you also keep Macro Algae? Can I have a look at your tank? Super Excited!

I'm having some trouble getting photos on here with my iPhone, I'll keep trying though. Right now I've got halimeda plant, dragon's breath, some Caribbean "purple ball" algae (not positive on the exact species), cheatomorpha, and all sorts of interesting little crops of macro from the Florida live rock. I got some powder blue, thick stemmed algae sprouting from one of my rocks, I've never seen anything like it  Really excited to see how everything starts to grow out and fill in, and always keeping an eye out for eye catching macro. Most stores in my area only ever have cheato & caulerpa

What area are you in? I'm in tampa and I can only get Chaeto and Caulerpa, though some stores north of me carry halimeda and gracilaria.

I live in Palatka currently (college), but I worked at Coral Corral in Tampa last year and the *only* place that I knew of that had a consistent supply of decorative macro was Fish & Other Ichthy Stuff, and Creative Aquariums will order some in upon request, but even then, sometimes trying to do a special order is like pulling teeth (that goes for any store, not necessarily Creative).

I keep a Molly Miller blenny in my macro algae display tank. They are supposed be be known to eat small inverts and macro algae. Although he does put a dent in my pod count, I have only seen him nip algae a few times. Have had him for approx 6 months and my algae continues to grow.

FAIOS is where I got my Gracilaria and Halimeda! Actually Creative has a small Macro Algae tank that seems to have everything I have!
