blue face angle. sps safe????

does anyone know if a blue face angle is sps safe. i would like to get one if i know its ok.

mine seems to do fine with sps only! but eats zoos and brains, etc...

A blueface angel will eat acans and most everything else. Some have success with them in SPS tanks, but most of those were raised from juveniles. When I had mine he quickly ate all my corals and when I bought a green carpet anemone he even picked at that.

A blueface will eat lps (like acans), but people have had success with individuals in large, well fed sps tanks. Not a safe bet!

well thats all i need to hear. no blue face for me. i'm looking for some kind nice colorfull fish for my reef. maybe a ........

any suggestions????

For a 75 gallon SPS tank wrasses are nice. A nice showpiece wrasse like a golden rhomboid wrasse would be very cool.

yeah, just about any of the fairy wrasses are a very colorful reef safe choice. If you must have an angel, go with one of the Genicanthus... totally reef safe, lots of different colors and patterns, they're even different colored/patterned between males and females.

I fed mine pellets. he was trained to follow the blue food container and nothing else. 50/50 on angels. I had clams and all kinds of LPS and SPS as well as softies. I also kept two regal angels during that time.

Right now, I the only angels I have in the reef are a multicolor and a maculatus angel.
