Blue/Green Chromis

OK has anyone ever keep 5-10 chromis verdis living in an 80-100 gallon tank. I love the look of them. Some websites claim peaceful and good schoolers. But I have also heard they are damsels and do what all damsels do and get meaner then a 2 fined damsel in a tank. Has anyone successfully keep more then 3 in a tank that size and they stay all happy and non aggro for more the 2 years?

They are usually peaceful with other fish but have a tendency to kill each other off in tanks under 180 gallons. I've seen a 90 gallon tank host a school of 5 for a couple of years, but they usually kill each other off until one is left (that has been my experience). Have a lot of small caves for them to hide in at night seems to help.

I have a 150, started with 6 or 7. Over about 6 months 3 died leaving 4. I bought 3 more in abou5 or 6months dwindled back down to 3. They were never mean to any other fish, and I actually never saw them pick on each other. I just set my tank back up and should ready for fish with in the next month and am going to try a hand ful them again :)

I had 6 in a 90 gallon for a while and it didn't go well long term. They ended up picking on each other and they dwindled as the weeks went by.
