BLUE HIPPO Discoloration

I'm responding to your post under duress. All the fishes should have been removed from the display and properly treated to get rid of the Marine Ich (Cryptocaryon irritans) in your display. AND, you should be using a quarantine tank system.

This fish has gone through a lot of stress, or as I would call it, torture. It is showing signs of what it has gone through by exhibiting a general degradation of its ability to resist common bacteria (found in every tank) and unable to heal itself (which it could had it been treated properly). Did you try and let this fish 'fend for itself' with this disease?

The right thing to do is to now remove the fishes to a hospital tank and treat them all for Marine Ich (MI). The tang needs a treatment with an antibiotic in its current state and all the proper foods and supplements you can get it to eat. For nutritional information and for additives while the fish is healing, read this post:
