So I've been in the hobby for about 10 years, current tank is a 120 gallon with mostly SPS thats been setup for about 2 years. In addition to mostly sps, there are 2 smaller bubble tip anemones, a tube anemone, Lps (hammer, frogspawn, candy cane), and a few softies.
I recently purchased a Blue Hippo Tang, Yellow tang, and a sixline wrasse locally from a trustworthy hobbyist tearing down their setup. The hobbyist had QT them and had them together for at least several months. The fish were pristine condition and very fat and healthy when I got them from them this weekend (Saturday). Today I noticed the blue hippo tang has a few squiggly white spots/lesions on one side around pectoral fin. His fin is also a bit 'cloudy' looking.
My guess is the tube anemone got him as he was sleeping nearby. He seems to be swimming okay, but I can definitely notice he tries not using that pectoral fin. Tried taking a picture, but it's hard to capture and he moves around too much. Does an anemone sting seem likely? or might there be any other type of infections/diseases that would leave a squiggly white line suddenly?
