blue hippo tang with white blotches

my blue hippo tang has white blotches all over the bottom of his stomach. it looks like its part of the skin, not like its growing on the outside of him or anything like that. is this normal or could it be from stress.

Is the fishes behavior not normal. Is he still eating? Blue tangs can get blotchy from stress. I wouldn't worry to much unless he stops eating.

he's eating fine. how long will he have these blotches from stress?

How long has he been in the tank? Is he a big fish? Who are his tankmates? I gather the blotches are just lighter areas of blue.
