Blue Linckia

We are relatively new to the hobby, but have set up a 55 gallon aquarium that came with about 80 pounds of live rock that had been cycling since January.

Over the last month or so we've added:

2 Clownfish
3 Black Legged Hermit Crabs
1 Red Hermit Crab
3 Giant Turbo Snails
3 Conch Snails
1 Blue Linckia
3 Scarlet Hermit Crabs

All our water parameters are good, although we're still struggling to keep the temperature below 80. And we'll be replacing the pump to get more water flow. That said, I have two questions:

The blue linckia seems to have a worm living in one of its arms. It's not the snail you hear about, but a small (1/2 inch) black worm that doesn't appear to be attached in any way. Any idea what it might be and what to do about it? I'm really hesitant to handle him since they're so fragile, but don't want him hurt either.

Once we get Blue squared away and the pump added, we're thinking about adding another fish or two. Any suggestions? I'm definitely looking for reef safe and non-agressive fish. Personality would be nice, but not a major requirement.

There are a number of polychaetes & other worms that live on seastars. I would love to see a picture of it. It wouldn't hurt the star if you used a brush to gently sweep the worm up into the water & then into a cup or suck it up with a turkey baster.
