I got this thing from cowdust9 about 2 weeks ago. It, and I say it because my 13 year old daughter let me know that they were hemaphrodites (Schools teaching her something at least) has been hiding. Finally out tonight and of course the know it all daughter was the first to see. This thing is 7" across for a reference

Thanks for the comments. It certainly had me scared, since I had not seen it since introducing to the tank.

I had one that lasted for 4 years. I found that they are like snails in that they will come out from the rockwork and onto the glass if the glass hadn't been scraped in a few days. My guess is that this food source contributed to his/her years of success.

Amazing pic Brad.

x2

If that is your picture, you should submit that for the contest this month.

Yep, that is my pic. Thanks for the compliments. I don't really check the other site much, I didn't know they were still doing a picture contest.

Every month. They seem to stay on top of it, and if you are a GIRS member you qualify. I vote yours over mine.

I had one of those from Aquatic Environments that I had for 2 or 3 months. He very commonly was hiding int he rock wrapped into crevices. Unfortunately, one day I found him passed away in the back of the tank.

Aquatic environments has them quite often, but I havn't been able to nail down any real research on their requirements so I havn't picked up another.
