blue linkia question

My blue Linkia has a different colored arm thing hanging out of the center on his bottom.....what is this? Is he dying ?

These would most likely be the guts. This isn't generally a good sign. Some stars feed by everting their stomachs through their mouths and dissolving their prey externally, but Linckia aren't known to do this.
