Blue mushrooms

I got a beautiful rock covered in blue mushrooms a week ago from someone tearing down their tank. In the week it has been in my tank the deep blue is already fading. What element do I need to be testing for and supplementing?

Tank specs:
80 gallon frag w/ 30 gal sump 8 yrs old
Orphek Atlantik LED lighting
8.3 pH
440 calcium
8.0 dKH
Magnesium 1300
Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate, Phosphate all 0

I did order a Red Sea Potassium, Iodine, Iron test kit. I use Tropic Marin salt.

since all of your params look good I question whether its getting too much light. Id stick it in a shaded spot and give it some time to adjust to the new lighting.

+1 Put it in a shady spot, then slowly acclimate it to more light over a couple of weeks

I had them under a rock ledge and they were stretching up. Not sure what that means but I moved them on to the tank side. I checked potassium today and it was 440 ppm.

The type of lighting will somewhat determine that deep blue you are looking for. What do you have?

Sounds like a light issue. What light source did the blue mushroom originated from? If it is losing its color, might be a sign of bleaching.

from what i've seen with my mushrooms they're pretty hardy as far as water chemistry. mine don't really seem to get bent out of shape much if my alk is off, or my ph is low, or something happened to my salinity.

like others have said though, too much light definitely does to seem to bother them. i had some blue shrooms under my old LEDs that were starting to look pretty washed out and faded, i got my Vegas which are a better spectrum, moved the shrooms to a slightly more shady spot, and then acclimated them to the light and their color has come back nicely, along with a lot of my LPS coloring up again.
