blue spots on rocks

i got a question
on a few of the tufa rocks i got from u
there are a few blue/green spots/areas
not on them all but a few of em
could these be some sort of coraline?
i think it is a fungus or mold of some kind
what do u think?
you told me that u had it for a chiclid tank u had
a while ago
i never had chiclids are they saltwater or freshwater?

cichlids are fresh water.

It could be algae, but the rocks have been out of the water for 10 months, but maybe the storage bin I had them had moisture?

I stored them outside in that covered bin I gave you.

Does it come off if you scrub it with a scrub brush?

If you are worried, you could boil the rocks in a large pot before putting them in the tank. That is what I did after I bought them from elmers. 15 minutes in boiling water should kill anything that might be on the rocks.

i boiled for a good 30 minutes
no good

i even tried to bake the blue stuff off
no good

i'll use them anyway
