Blue spotted puffer.

My blue spotted puffer needs clams for his teeth. I bought frozen half shell clams. Both I have fed the emerald crabs take them n hide n eat it all. How do I get it for the puffer?

Did you have to do anything special to train them to eat from your hand? Or will they do it naturally?

I think with mine, he's just hungry. He won't eat NLS pellets, mysis, or LRS fish frenzy, which is what I feed the other fish in the tank. I feed him regular shrimp bought from the grocery store (I cut it up into smaller pieces and froze them - and left the shell on). Then as the rest of the tank is eating, I dangle the shrimp at the surface of the water and he starts eating it. I didn't really train him to do it.
