Blue Stripe or Pink Skunk?

Stubby

In Memoriam
Hey guys, now I'm looking at Blue Stripe Clowns(Amphiprion chrysopterus) and Pink Skunk Clowns(Amphiprion perideraion). Which is less aggressive? Anything you could contribute would be great.

I don't about bluestripe being mean, but they are exceedingly difficult to keep. I suggest going for the pink skunks any day over blue stripe. Success with the skunks is pretty much a guarantee, and they will go into almost any anemone you have in your tank ( mine splits time between an LTA and BTA).

blue stripes are on the difficult side to acclimate, but once they can establish themselves they seem to be as hardy as any other clown. If you want bluestripes do a lot of research and prepare beforehand. when they turn south they do it in a hurry and there is very little time for corrections. If you are a novice I would go with the skunks.

i got 3 pairs of akindynos clowns in from Australia and they all acclimated to tank life wonderfully. Didn't lose any, and all are eating anything i put in the tank!! Beautiful clowns. I have a small pair with bright blue stripes. they are so cool and personable :)

oh i should add the flight from Australia to hawaii was about 26 hours total bag time and i acclimated over a 6 hour period about. PH comes in low so i can't raise it to fast or most fish go into shock.. so its a long long process :)
