My hipo have ich and I dont know how to cure it because I dont have a hospital tank and I have some corals in the tank with my tang. I am just feeding him well and he is eating well. He sometimes look for the banded coral shrimp for help but I dont know if the shrimp is helping. Please I need some advice in how to cure the ich of my hipo in the main tank with corals and other fiches.

there is not much you can do in your main tank!! if you could get a cheap 10g tank for $10, you would have a hospital tank...all you would need is a heater and filter of some kind..i'm not sure if you do, but i know alot of folks have several extras laying around...i hope this helps some..i know you are trying to treat in your main tank, but there just aren't any reef safe treatments that are 100%

I'm not an ich expert but from what I've read the parasites go through different lifespan stages and at some points they are not visible. This does not mean that they are gone. If you really had ich then it's probably still there. The only treatments I know of are copper-based ones or hyposalinity, both of which need to be done in a hospital tank or it will kill other stuff in your display. Good luck...
