A couple of months ago I picked up a small frag of blue tubbs. They had great color but kept falling from where I had them placed. (didn't want to epoxy their rubble until I knew they'd do well where they were)
They were on the side of a rock wall in my tank, semi-direct light from the T5's and MH's and fairly indirect flow. Since they kept falling, I moved them to a more stable spot higher up in the tank - but with direct light and pretty direct flow. After a couple of days I noticed they were staying closed so I moved them back to where they were, but secured the rubble better.
Now they're open but have NO color to them. (though their skirts glow green under lunars) There's the start of some new ones around the base - so it should be interesting to see if they come in with color. If not, I'll have to frag them off as "Teenage Mutant Albinos".
Has anyone else seen this 100% color loss before? It's been a week or so, and there's NO recovery in the color whatsoever. I've got another colony in the tank (orange bam bams - same location) and those are doing fine.
