bluethroat compatibility

I saw this beautiful male bluethroat trigger at the LFS and thought it might be a great addition to my tank.

I got a 66 gals reef with
a pair of percs
1 sixline wrasse
2 cleaner shrimps
1 blackspot foxface
1 copeprband butterfly

I checked the coral forum and most are apparently model citizens in the tank, so I figure my corals are safe

Anyone see a compatibility problem?

In terms of bioload I think I'm pretty much okay. I don't skim right now, but I'll plug in the skimmer if I add the trigger

Any input will be appreciated

Way too small of a tank, and that foxface needs to go due to tank size issues as well. Stick with smaller fish until you get a larger tank.

how big of a tank are we talking about? Most places I've found info about both these species advise a tank around 70 gals an up.

Your trigger will be 11" full grown, so I would agree with tcmfish. You should get a 180 6' x 2' x 2' at a minimum.

Most places you are getting your info from probably wants to sell you a fish too...

Sad but true, I wouldn't keep any trigger in anything smaller than a 150, triggers are an active fish and they all get way too big for a smaller system.

i guess i am terrible lol. i have a picasso in a 6 ft 125 gallon. he seems happy. pretty small right now though.

Really small triggers would probably be fine in a 4 foot or some kind of 3 foot cube, but they grow fast and tend to appreciate a lot of square footage to swim around in.
