bored = Pics of tank

I was bored last night and took a few new pics of the tank, I have gotten a couple of new things lately and wanted to show them off.

I know its not as good as some of the ones I see on the board but it's been very fun and I don't think I could have ever made it this far with out everybody's help... so thank you all

What is that pink coral with the stars on the tip? looks very interesting! Nice pics by the way.

It is a green toadstool leather, it's polyps are pink but the top of the leather, when retracted, is green. It starteed out very small a few months ago when I got it and it has been growing FAST.

All the corals look great, but the colors on the frogspawn are awesome.

Nice coralline....and I always ask this because everyone's pictures look better than mine - what camera are you using?

these were taken with a Panasonic fx8 on macro mode with the exception of the first one which was taken on scenery mode,

What I have noticed over the years is that you can use any camera if it has a macro mode on it, even your cheapest little point and shoots with macro seem to do decent with fish tanks.
The thing I hate about mine is it has a pretty slow shutter speed, so it's hard to catch a fast swimming fish.

On that yellow sponge, I would recommend moving it further into the sand so it stays put on the rubble it's on as opposed to growing over your dark maroon coralline.

Thanks inwall, I had no idea about the sponge, I'm gonna go do it right now. Bored again, I guess thats the life of a stay at home dad lol.

Be careful what you wish for lol,
I said the same thing, don't get me wrong I love it a lot of the time, but I get tired of the cartoons all day and having no adults around. I feel like my brain is going to mush:hmm4:
