bottom of tank painted?

Anyone know of or see someone paint the bottom of the tank for a bare bottom look?

Like paint it blue, so it shows more color in the tank.

Or paint it white to reflect more.

or paint it black, to do the same thing as blue color.


any suggestions or thoughts?

Most of us use Starboard (cutting board) available in many colors and from places such as www.cuttinboardcomapny.com
I use black and love it.
It will also help to protect your glass bottom from avalanches.

Might wanna just correct the spelling in that link...

It's a great idea for BB. Sean, I have a q for you... do you ever worry about stuff creeping under the plastic and accumulating there? Do you guys glue it down with silicon?

Sure you can paint the botton of the tank just like you paint the back....Color is a personal choice.....Many people will paint the back of the tank black or blue and the bottom white as the white appears to reflect the light and make you tank look brighter...I like my bottom and back both black but that is just me, its all in what you like...I have see tanks painted light yellow and light green also
