Breeding Brotulids in captivity?

I have a yellow Brotulid and was wondering if anyone has tried breeding these in captivity. I've searched the net and haven't found much about them. They are livebearers, but I don't know how to sex them.

i have one that appears to be gravid, does anyone have any information on the babies size or feeding preferences?

Well, I found a German website that I translated saying the males have 2 claspers, like sharks do. I can't get a very good look at mine at the moment...

Joetbs, that is really exciting that you have one that might be gravid! From what I have heard of a similar species, the babies are pretty big when born. I'd start hatching some brine shrimp. Keep me updated, pretty please!

I've wondered the same thing..... how large are the babies.

While not exactly common, they show up in stores here in NY pretty regularly. They are sold as "Yellow Eel Goby". Don't even try to explain Brotulid to anyone at a fish store.

I haven't actually measured one with a ruler, but I'm guessing they are a good inch long when born. Like the size of a guppy.

The newborns could probably even eat regular food, like small mysis.

These would probably be super easy to breed. I'm going to snatch up every Brotulid I see for sale from now on. My yellow one lives with my seahorses and he or she is really friendly.
