Breeding clownfish

I want to breed 2 common clown fish in my tank but i have some quetions first. How do i get them to spawn. One is darker then th other does that mean one is male and the other is female? Also would my chacalite chip starfish eat the eggs or my hermit crabs? If i get lots of clown fish from the eggs should i sell them to the LFS? Last can you give me some tips also. Oh and my tank is 30 gallons.
