breeding my chromis

Ok i have a few questions about my chromis so here i go
1st how can i find out there sex?
2nd can i breed them and are they hard to breed?
3rd what do i need to do to breed them?
4th Thank you!
Please reply with your info :D

Probably not that hard to get to breed if you a) have a male and female b) treat them well and c) be patient.

Raising damsels and chromis is a whole different ball game!

Sorry I don't have more info to offer up on those at this point. I suspect SS rotifers and Copepod nauplii would be ideal first foods.

FWIW,

Matt

hmm thx do you know how to tell a male from female? i have 4 so i'd think i'd have at less 1 male... but there is one big about 2.5" and 3 about 1.5" to 2" so i'm not sure how they work if there like clowns and the females bigger or if there just growing up but thx for your help i think i got that all covored :D

Ok i read feeding them live food will turn them on and they'll breed then so should i go get live foods for them? so if they breed i'll find larvae on like my LR then just put them in a another tank?

sweet thx! that is a big help i'm going to check his site alittle more and his topic maybe i can find out how to tell if they have eggs besides the big belly :D

No probs ive read elsewhere that the dorsal fin can be used to determine sex, apparently the male has a pointier dorsal fin, and the female a more round dorsal fin, good luck, one day i also hope to be able to breed chromis, been interested to see if anyone has done this before?
