Recently I visited my LFS and saw a fresh shipment of live rock that had just been put into their tanks, covered in goodies and hitchhikers.
I pranced over there and, as giddy as a schoolgirl, picked out a few pieces for 5.99$ a lb! thats cheap around here. good ol sales!
Anywho, I started curing the rock which smelled like a monkey past its prime in a tank where there were some Illynassarius Obsoleta snails inside scurrying about. I took the rock out to put into a bucket of freshly made salt water and BAM, there where bristleworms galore! I thought nothing of it, since it occured in a random 10 gallon tank, which is one of many. As I observed the snails, I noticed that they are being...hmm...ambushed by the worms?
I see 5 or 6 of them at a time atop their shells doing nothing but hanging out. Is this unusual? anyone have any idea why the worms are attracted to the snails? I've never heard of bristleworms going after snails! either way, I got a hungry arrow crab waiting to assasinate those suckers! lol
Secondly,
I noticed hundreds of these really small creatures scurrying about on the glass of my 10 gallon. They are very small, tan/transparent in color, and are very active. Any ideas what they could be?
