Bristleworm attacked my fish?

Today my midas blennie, while he acts fine, on one side has a bunch of little tiny fibers sticking out of him, They look just like little glass or fiberglass fibers, maybe 1/16 or so long, or maybe like little hairs, like single bits of fake spider silk from the store, that fine and small.

Should I let him be? Can anything help? Should I QT him or something in the tank. I've had him quite some time.... It doesnt look really inflammed or anything. it's impossible to get it to show up on the camera right now. maybe if he werent afraid of it, if i go up there he swims right out to almost show me, but if the big black camera is there he'll stay in one of his holes, and stare.

the bristles should work out by them selves. my clown tried to pick on a bristleworm once and lost :) he was fine in a few days
