Brook Question

Hello all! Approx 2 months ago I lost 2 clowns, 2 damsels, and a royal gram to, what I believe was brook. All the other fish in the tank (2 cardinals, yellow watchman, lawnmower, firefish, and a 6 line) remained healthy. Since then I have added a yellow tang(after a QT period) and he also has remained healthy for the past 6 weeks. I would love to reintroduce clowns back to my tank, again, after a QT. Does the long period of health in my tank mean Im safe adding clowns again, or is there still a good chance the parasite is still hiding in the tank? The 2 clowns I have my eye on are somewhat expensive Picasso clowns. Or is my tank basically off limits to fish susceptible to that parasite? I even had a UV filter hooked up to the system after the initial die off, hoping to eradicate it.

Thanks in advance for your advise!!

I haven't. So even if a year has passed, there's still a good chance any new clowns will be infected once introduced to the tank?

Hard to be 100% sure. The current residence could have built up a resistance to the disease but the disease is still in the tank or the disease died off from lack of a preferred host (clowns). Of course this is all contingent upon assurance that it was Brook to begin with. At this point you could add clowns but be prepared to pull them if Brook symptoms appear.
