brown hair algae

So I have this brown algae that started growing on my rocks. Over the matter of a week it has spread all over my tank. It is a brown hair like algae that is now about 1" long and sways so gracefully in the current. However I hate it and want to get rid of it. My water parameters are dialed in very nicely. The tank is six months old, contains a variety of corals and several fish. Any thoughts.

Sounds like diatoms. I've got diatoms as well. About 3 days ago I picked up some inverts that'll eat the stuff (turbo snail and nassarius snails). Haven't seen much too much of a difference since getting them though. Also, I have heard that diatoms go away by themselves after a while.

Yeah I might have to get more turbo snails. I only have 10 in my 90 gallon. Hopefully that will do it.
