Brownish Spots on Tang

Ok so I added an orange shoulder tang to my tank on Tuesday after being in QT for two weeks. Received hypo treatment. Has been eating like crazy, swimming normal and just being a regular fish.

Yesterday I noticed these two brownish spots on its left side. They don't look like they are on the surface as there is no bulge, doesn't look furry, etc. He isn't rubbing up against anything, breathing is normal, etc. They were not there the day before yesterday.

Tank itself has been setup for 2+ months, but water and rock came from a year old tank.

Tank params and other inhabitants are:

Ammonia - 0
Nitrites - 0
Nitrates - 5
Temp - 77
SG - 1.025

Foxface Lo
Pair of Melanopus Clowns
Humu Humu
Diamond Watchman Goby
Cucumber
LTA
Snails
Crabs
Couple of corals

Also, running bio pellets, GFO and carbon.

What am I looking at here? What are the recommended treatments...if any? Should I pull out and put back into QT?

Thanks

Bump. Is it just that no one knows what this is or is it that I'm overreacting and those spots are normal?

IMO, they are nothing to worry about. They don't resemble any parasite, disease, infection that I know of. Many fish, it seems especially tangs, will discolor a bit as they acclimate.
BTW; I'm just guessing at your meaning, its common. "Used'" water is fine to use if you feel like hauling it. However, water does next to nothing to promote "the cycle'". Our friendly bacteria live in the LR, substrate, filter media, etc., not in the water column.

Thank you for the response...same thing my wife said.

Also, I understand that the bacteria is not in the water, but also didn't think that it would hurt to use it as well as the 75lbs of live rock and 40lbs of live sand I transferred over.
