BRS Dosing pump questions

I will soon be Using BRS dosing pumps to dose two part. Question is, would it be better to have the pumps run off of the PH probe like a calcium reactor or figure my dose and run it on a timer? I have a Reef Keeper controller that will be running it.

I control my two BRS dosing pumps from my Apex using a command that turns them on for a few minutes each hour at different intervals so both are not dosing at the same time. I have a pH limit statement in the program just as a safety precaution, but it has never tripped. I am dosing alk about 6 minutes every hour and calc about 4 minutes to keep my alk at 9-10 and my calcium around 480.

I run mine of RKL on timers four times in 24hr cycle for 15 min. No problems at all my Ca stays at 420 and Alk 8-9

Make sure you run them on the mechanical outlets of your controller.
On my dc8 two of the outlets are mechanical.
You can hear them, click on/off

Thanks everyone. I might just go with timer run off my controller with a PH limit. I like that Idea. although I still want to know if anyone has run both pumps at the same time off of just PH probe but have them dump into separate area's of the tank and away from the probe???
