BRS GFO and BRS Reactor

So I am running a BRS GFO and a BRS Reactor and the media keeps floating to the top of the reactor.

I do not see any tumbling and do not want the media to become congealed.

Does anyone else have this problem?

try hitting the side of the reactor to make it fall to the bottom.

Start the flow very slow for a day then tumble.

The last time I started mine it floated to the top and fell after a few minutes. I think it fell by the time I had run the water clean. Tapping it might help and if not try adjusting the flow a little to get it to drop then adjust the flow to a tumble.

I have run into this in the past when running some larger amounts of media with too high a flow rate right off the bat. Giving the reactor a couple good taps with the valve closed is usually enough to get the media shaken up and falling back down to the bottom.
