Bruised Fox Face?

Posting a lot today...

Just noticed a redish saddle on my fox faces back where the angler had latched on. Is this a bruise or is it a sign that the fox face won't be here too much longer?

I'll try, just very difficult to get a good shot of him.

Could be a bruise or possibly an infection from the damage.
