Hi all, got a BTA that was attached to a rock about 3 weeks ago for my 20G nano (tis a small bugger), was looking great up until today. It has been deflated and hasnt inflated at all today. I also feed it roughly every 2 days with a turkey baster and it seems to take it with it being inflated or not.

Setup:
20G w 5 Gallon Sump
ASM Mini G Protein Skimmer
Purigen
Carbon Pads
30lbs of Live Rock (EDIT)

Parameters:
Salinity: 1.025 (EDIT)
Temperature: 78-80F
PH: 8.2
Ammonia: 0 PPM
Nitrite: 0 PPM
Nitrate: 2-5 PPM (20 percent water changes every week with Reef Crystals/RODI)
Phosphate: 0.25 PPM
Calcium: 400 PPM (Dosing DIY Turbo Calcium solution)
Alk: 11 dKH

Any info would be appreciated. :)

Dunno Mag as I dont have a test yet.

I currently have a 5 month old tank with all parameters in check imiding ca and alk and all that EXCEPT phosphates. They are around 0.3 maybe even higher... I am interested in getting an anemone soon and what is the acceptable range, I'm guessing ideal is 0? They don't like the water little dirty like Lps? What's the highest you could safely go? I'm not trying to hijack I just saw you have less phosphates them me so i'm curious
(Don't worry I won't get an anemone for a while)

Stop feeding it so often.....I rarely feed my BTAs. They catch what they catch in the water column and sometimes I may feed a small piece of shrimp every month or two....with good lighting and water conditions they will be fine.

Cool, I checked on it this morning and it was looking alot better. 0.25 Phosphate still too high for you guys think?

Seems like my BTA is doing fine again and my Phosphate levels usually stay around 0.00 - 0.25 (cannot get any more accurate as im using API right now)

I plan on getting them as low as possible soon when I plumb in a GFO reactor from my return pump, Kent Marine Phosphate Sponge doesn't really seem to be doing much. (only leaving it in for 2 days like it says, doesn't remove anything, or at-least not at this low of a level -_-)
